Maja Matija Ristic, Secretary General of the Ministry of Mining and Energy
She was born in 1970 in Belgrade. She graduated from the Fifth Belgrade Grammar School. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and gained the title of a Specialist in European Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade in cooperation with the European University Centre in Nancy (Republic of France). She is a Certified Trainer in the Field of Legislative Process. She served as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Agriculture and Trade, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure. She was the Head of the General Legal Affairs Department and performed the duties of the Chief of Cabinet in the Ministry of Culture. She started gaining her work experience at the Intellectual Property Office and gained experience in the field of industrial rights and copyright and related rights. She performed the function of the President of the Supervisory Board of Ponikve Airports.
She gained experience in harmonization of national regulations with EU regulations, in normative affairs, participated in the drafting of the Law on Culture, the Law on Endowments and Foundations, the Law on Misdemeanours, the Law on Personal Data Protection, drafting of decrees in the field of agriculture.
Since October 2020, she is at the position of Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Mining and Energy.
