The Section for Legal and Economic Activities in Electricity Sector carries out the activities related to: preparation of draft laws, draft bylaw in the field of electric power and harmonization of regulations with the regulations of the European Union; preparation of analyses of the effects of the application of these regulations; giving opinions and explanations on the application of laws and other regulations; giving opinions on acts proposed by other government bodies and organisations; the process of reorganisation of public enterprises and corporations in the field of electricity as well as the operation of energy entities; resolving the ownership of public enterprises on real estate that does not represent a network in terms of the law governing energy industry; giving opinions on medium-term development plans and annual business programs of public enterprises, as well as other energy entities in the field of electricity; preparation of responses to the questions posed by parliament members and questions based on the requests for access to information of public importance in the field of system regulation in the field of electric power; participation in the implementation of international cooperation in the field of electricity; preparation of a proposal for a decision on determining another energy entity in the field of electricity that will carry out the activity instead of the entity whose license has been permanently revoked; preparation of a proposal for a decision on appeals against decisions of electricity inspectors; preparation of a proposal for a decision on appeals against decisions on cancelling or revocation of a license; drafting acts arising from other laws, relating to property and investor rights; preparation of responses to lawsuits in administrative disputes based on second instance decisions; preparation of drafts, i.e. proposals of acts in the procedure of granting a concession in the field of electric power industry; implementation of the procedure for selection of a guaranteed and last-resort supplier of electricity; participation in the preparation of proposals for concluding international agreements in the field of electricity; preparation of reports, information, analyses and other materials in the specified area; participation in the procedure of concluding collective agreements for energy entities in the field of electricity; participation in the preparation of individual acts for the Government on the basis of authorizations under the law; preparation of draft information and conclusions in the field of electricity to be submitted to the Government for consideration and adoption; participation in the preparation of decisions for issuing of the energy permits and assessment of the fulfilment of economic conditions in the procedure of issuing the energy permit; monitoring the impact of current economic policy measures and proposals of the regulatory body regarding tariff systems and electricity prices on the position of energy entities and electricity customers; strategic planning; preparation of proposed measures in case the security of supply to customers and the functioning of the electricity system is endangered; processing of cases on petitions and complaints of citizens in the field of electricity; monitoring and analysis of regulations governing the protection of electricity customers; monitoring the European Union directive and other regulations governing the protection of electricity customers; drafting bylaws in the field of protection of electricity customers and preparation of regulations governing the adjusted amounts of actual total monthly household income; drafting of acts on appeals against first instance decisions on the status of energy vulnerable customers; preparation of responses to the reasoned requests of the Energy Community; preparation of responses to the requests of the Protector of Citizens, as well as other activities within the scope of the activity of the Section.
